It is, however, important for the public to know the differences between real and counterfeit treatments to ensure that you are getting a genuine OxyGeneo® service.
The genuine and the counterfeit devices may look similar, however upon further inspection there are a few obvious differences. The screen of the counterfeit device appears outdated, and the buttons are not working properly! On the genuine device the screen is functional and has marketing videos as well.
Another way for you to make sure what you are being treated with an authentic device is looking at the ultrasound hand piece, the knock off looks thick and virtually does nothing. A real ultrasound helps infuse product and you can hear the slight hum of the ultrasound on your skin
If we look at the logo of the machine, the fake device may say Pollogen or Pologen with one L or says nothing.
On the back of the machine, the fake machine either has no label at all or a label that with a made-up name, the genuine machine carries the name of the vendor Pollogen, the name of the machine: Geneo+ with the serial number, address and manufacturing date.
As for the products that are being used during the treatment: this is very important as this what your skincare professional applied on your face: It did happened in the past that owners of used authentic devices may have purchased fake treatments to cut corners and save a few dollars, it is advisable to look at what products your skincare professional is using.
First, all the “long boxes” are fake and should not be on the market at all, this is easy to see and avoid.
What is somehow more tricky are the OxyPod square boxes: The real OxyPod says Geneo, the fake one says Pologen again, with a typo (Pollogen is spelled with two ‘L’’s). The products say OxyRevive, OxyBalance while the fake say only Revive or Balance
